Heliport

The Barcelona heliport, before you take off

The Barcelona heliport sits at Port Vell, on Paseo Escullera s/n, Muelle Adosado — the departure point for every tour and charter on this site. Check-in opens at the terminal 20 minutes before your confirmed flight time. This page covers exactly how to get there, what the terminal has inside, and what happens between arrival and boarding.

Where is the heliport?

Heliport de Barcelona

Paseo Escullera s/n, Muelle Adosado
08039 Barcelona, Spain

The terminal sits on the breakwater on the seaward side of Port Vell marina, past the World Trade Center and the ferry terminals. It's a working aviation facility, not a general port building, so look for the low glass terminal and the helipad apron behind it rather than a street-level entrance.

Directions

How do I get to the heliport?

By car

Follow the Ronda Litoral (B-10) and take the Port Vell / Moll Adosado exit toward the ferry terminals. Paseo Escullera runs along the breakwater — the terminal is the glass building near its far end.

By taxi

From the Gothic Quarter or El Raval, budget around 10 minutes; from Barcelona–El Prat Airport, 20–25 minutes depending on traffic. Give the driver the address above, or say "Heliport de Barcelona, Paseo Escullera."

Metro + walk

The nearest stations are Drassanes and Barceloneta, each about 15–20 minutes on foot along the harborside promenade, past the World Trade Center and around the marina to Paseo Escullera.

Parking: street parking near the port is limited and metered on weekdays. The nearest public car park sits by the World Trade Center Barcelona building, a short walk along the marina promenade from the terminal.

Terminal facilities

What's inside the terminal?

Once through the terminal doors, there's a seating area with free Wi-Fi, a vending machine for water and snacks, and a viewing terrace that looks straight out over the helipad — a good spot to watch the flight ahead of yours land or take off while you wait. Staff call each group forward by name for check-in, ID verification and a short weigh-in, then move you through to the briefing room. The building sits low and glass-fronted against the marina, so there's natural light and a sea view even before you've boarded.

Before you board

What happens at check-in, step by step

Every flight follows the same five steps between arriving at the terminal and lifting off, whether you've booked a shared tour or a private charter.

Pilot giving a seated safety briefing to passengers before a Barcelona helicopter flight
  1. Check in at the desk

Arrive within your confirmed window, 20 minutes before departure, and show a valid passport or national ID matching the name on the booking.

  2. Weigh-in and paperwork

Staff confirm each passenger's weight against the aircraft limit — 110 kg per seat, two seats booked above that weight, 130 kg absolute ceiling — and match your group to the right helicopter.

  3. Safety briefing

A verbal briefing plus a short video cover the cabin doors, headsets and in-flight procedure, before your group is called through to the gate.

  4. Headsets on

Noise-cancelling headsets get fitted and paired so you can hear the pilot's commentary over rotor noise once you're airborne.

  5. Out to the helipad

Ground crew walk your group across the apron to the aircraft under rotor-safe guidance, then the pilot runs final checks before lift-off.

Opening hours

When is the heliport open?

Monday – Saturday10:00 – 18:00
Sunday & public holidays10:00 – 15:00

Flight departures run inside these hours and are confirmed 24 hours ahead of your booking.
